Gibbs does not believe this is the whole truth and goes on to prove his innocence. The team become personally involved with the case, with Gibbs using deceptive tactics to pull the truth from the elderly man. Ernie Yost, an elderly Marine veteran and Medal of Honor winner, confesses to murdering his best friend almost 60 years ago in a war battle and the NCIS’s job is to solve all the secrets and save Ernie from prison.
