Due to suspicions of a mole working inside the Pentagon, Tony and Ziva are charged with interviewing members of the Pentagon’s cryptography department. When one of their interviewees is found dead in her home, the team investigates her apparent suicide. While the cryptography department is immediately locked down, Abby uses forensic science to prove that a second person was in the room when the gun was fired. When a Pentagon cryptographer is found dead, the NCIS team has to discover whether the person was or wasn’t a Pentagon mole, and if the person committed suicide. As the investigation continues, the team discovers that the person wasn’t alone when she died, so someone must have murdered her. So, the team has to find the person, a mole, who murdered the cryptographer.
