After a room at a Navy lodging facility is found to have blood and fragments of flesh scattered throughout, the team is called to investigate. However, evidence suggests that it was a set-up crime scene. Meanwhile, Abby returns from court after giving testimony in an embezzlement trial and is attacked in her lab. Gibbs puts Abby into protective custody with the team while they look for the person targeting Abby, who appears to be a stalker. It was discovered that the defendant in the trial had used some of the ill-gotten money to hire a hit man to target Abby. It was Abby, who had been armed with pepper spray, brass knuckles and a taser gun, who had subdued the hit man, and helped to get the defendant arrested. While working on just a regular murder case with the rest of the NCIS team, Abby is almost killed by an evidence from the case and soon it becomes clear that the murder was staged, and that someone wants Abby dead. The team discovers some enemies from Abby’s past, and they must find out who is the person, before the person kills Abby.
